If you are or want to be any of these things, I got you.
Whether you’re on your vegan journey, trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, or just a really stressed out college student, I’m talking to you!
I won’t go into great detail in this first post about who I am as a person. That’s what the About Me tab is for. Instead, I want to expand on who I’m writing for (heads up, that’s you).
So maybe you’re in college.
Unfortunately for most college students, stress is common and health is not a huge concern. In fact, UCLA found that in 2010, incoming freshmen had a record low level of emotional health. It’s no wonder-we have to juggle classes, friends, clubs, sports, Netflix, and more, so of course, everything else comes before health. But I’m a firm believer that physical health is the foundation of well-being; if you aren’t healthy, your grades, relationships, and happiness will suffer. But balancing everything you have to do and taking care of yourself is possible. I’ll admit, it’s not easy. It’s a thousand times easier to stay up late watching TV instead of studying and eating an entire bag of Cheetos than it is to eat healthy and get to bed by 10:30. I’ve been on both sides of that spectrum. But I can tell you that you feel like a new person when you start making healthy decisions.
Or maybe you’re a vegan.
If you’re looking for some vegan munchies, products, or tips, look no further. As a vegan in college, I’ve had to get pretty creative with my diet. I’m on a meal plan at a very small college with only three dining locations on campus. This is the menu for the main dining hall last week. The green dots are vegan options.
So yeah, not exactly ideal. I’m not really inclined to go to the dining hall if all I can eat is “Pepper Slaw.” Just to make matters worse, I’m the only vegan out of my group of friends. Actually, I’m convinced that I’m the only vegan on campus. So whether you’re in the same situation or not, I have some dining hall tips, snacks, and other products that I’d love to inform you about! Vegans gotta stick together, and I have your back.
Even if you’re not a vegan or in college, stick around!
I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is to get into some healthy habits. If you just want to start living healthier or handling your stress better, I can share a lot with you about what I like to do. Hopefully you’ll learn something, and know I’ll learn from you, too.
Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or suggestions!
